I agree, visibility is one of the most critical success factors every business should use. Offline or online. The challenge I see and experience myself is the fact that online businesses want to do just that, succeed online, but they aren't willing or don't want to do some of the necessary things, like networking, to ensure their success.

Its very, very difficult to succeed alone in this business. I think that's why so many struggling online entrepreneurs bounce from one thing to another instead of focusing on one strategy or business model. They don't want to put their fears aside so they jump at the next "can't miss" opportunity.

Jason,

Your post gives me the goosebumps.

While I have never met you in person, I must say that your coaching absolutely rocks! and I'm someone that people pay me $$$ to coach them...

Hi Jason,
Thanks for sharing the great examples of how you learn from all the folks you meet online and offline. Networking has always been a popular method of growing businesses and you've given excellent examples of how you've put those relationships you've fostered to use to offer value to your readers and customers.

Great webinars today, btw!

Warmly,
Theresa

Jason,

You're right about the whole idea that a lot of business breakthroughs come when something that worked well with little or no effort.

That's what happened to me this year with my SAT Essay business. I just did a little experimenting with this little niche to see if a strategy I learned could drive more traffic to my website. It worked and I started to make sales. Then I started working on the business and improving the results.

But if it weren't for those initial results that came from little effort, I probably wouldn't be doing anything with that business now.

Jason,

You are correct that people are everything in business. It is the networking and contacts you make that will make all the difference. Even more than that, it makes life so much richer to have interesting and good people as part of it.

The biggest thing holding all of us back in marketing is the lack of working together and leveraging the talents and skills and knowledge of others.
