Do More

Here’s some stuff I’ve done over the last 5 days…
I wrote 52 articles for a new membership site I’ll be launching soon
Created 28 videos for that membership site
Did 3 webinars
Wrote a sales letter
Did 4 personal coaching sessions (I’m always baffled more people don’t come to me for coaching…)
And some other stuff I’m forgetting
And of those 5 days, I took Sunday off completely. I only put in 20 minutes that day.
Now here’s what this “all action” attitude has been able to do for me:
Monday I went down and donated $500 dollars to a memorial that my Brother’s school is creating for him. They are going to plant a tree and next to it put a plaque with his name on it. This donation came from all the wonderful people who have participated in my Tribute Series (www.instantcontentcreation.com/Ryantribute)
Then Wednesday, I paid $3,000 for my mom and Ryan’s step dad to get new cabinets and cupboards.
As you read this, I’m now on a plane heading to Texas for the AM 2.0 Internet marketing seminar in Dallas (If you’re going to be there, make sure to say hi to me!). Over a grand for this trip.
The point of this is simple: you can’t do one without the other. You put in time to your business so you can give more of yourself outside of your business.
That’s my big motivator. It’s no secret I get a ton of stuff done (that’s why I created a time management product – http://imtimemanagement.com). And I know all the techniques. All the mental trickery. All the motivation strategies.
That’s all fine and good, but sometimes all you need is a kick in the ass to get going. And today’s blog is that kick in the ass for you.
Here’s my challenge to you. I want you to do MORE today than you were planning on doing. If you were going to write 5 articles today, write 6. If you were going to write a blog post today, write another and auto-schedule it for sometime in the future.
Want to know the best time management secret for getting stuff done? It’s accountability. What’s that “extra” thing you’re going to do today. You should write it down and make the commitment. In fact, do it as a response to this blog.
If I can do all those things I listed above in 5 short days, surely you can do just one more thing today to get closer to whatever your goal is. So post a comment and let me know what it is… and then go and do it.

You are a dynamo. I really need to do some more work to get my website working, I have to get my Clickbank Publisher ID and add the product but it’s taking me awhile to work everything out as you can guess i’m a total newbie, but in the next 24hrs I AM going to complete the above and put the plugins in my blog.
Thanks for the kick!!
Jason, You are a human dynamo… unbelievable energy and drive. The most importand factor is FOCUS and I need to do better at that. You inspire me.
I’ve been putting off updating my product and now I feel I must do it or be a total futz.
Thank you – as always,
Donna
I think the biggest problem for most people is that they don’t know what they’re going to do the next day. The second problem might be that they don’t have their time organized into a schedule. > Thanks for the kick. My extra thing for the day will be setting the time schedule I talked about. See – I know what to do. Just haven’t done it yet.
Have a wonderful trip.

Nice share Jason – thanks.
I pledged to increase my productivity this new year. Thankfully, I stuck with it and my productivity is like CRAZY right now. Good to know you’re having a blast – it gives a great sense of achievement every day, doesn’t it?
Regards,
Sagar
Hi Jason very inspirational I need a kick at the moment as I am in the middle of getting everything together!
Cheers Jason,
Paul
I had better get working on that new site I was thinking of building… I am sure I can write another ebook today if I really set my mind to it.
Thanks for the Kick
Excellent post, Jason!
Inspirational and motivational. Great to see how you apply what you teach.
You’re a very giving person and you should be commended on that too.
Now I’ve got to run and follow through on this gem.
Awesome stuff Jason – very inspirational as my job ends on Tuesday and I have been in productivity training for when I will be working from home next week.
I already have your time management course Jason and it has helped me already
Thanks Jason, when I see what you’ve done the last 5 days, it makes me feel like I’ve done nothing! But that’s good, it makes me realise how much more I can probably do
.
The 1 extra thing I’ll do today is update one of my ebooks which is something I was going to do next week (has to be done by the end of March).
Thanks for the push, Jason. It’s just what I need today.
As Always Jason good stuff. I find I can’t enough done to satisfy me. Maybe I’m just lazy but I start to slow down around 9pm after I put my son to bed for the 3rd time. Then I’m dozing by 10 pm.
For my extra thing by 10 pm tonight I plan to install a wordpress blog with plugins, ping sites,1 post, a privacy and a contact page.
That counts as one thing right?
Enjoy your trip
John
I really dig your work ethic, its insane. I have just set up 4 blogs and got content on two of them to the point where I can start to write some articles and drive traffic. Now, my goal is to have the both of them fully finished and driving 100 uniques a day by next Wednesday as well as have all the content on the other 2 and have at least 20 articles per day scheduled to go out for the new ones. I have gotten 1 unique article wizard article wrote this morning that was 10 paragraphs long (means 3 versions) set up and scheduled for sending out 1387 articles set at 20 per day. Will have another one done for another blog.
Check them out and let me know what you think…

Thanks for making me do more, I needed trhe nudge.
how will you work on “extra” tasks when you have head ache and feel tired?
what’s your daily routine to work like crazy?
do you get up in the morning and go to sleep early?
do you eat vegetables?
do you run/bike ride?
Excellent .. Good idea.
I always think of blogs as time wasters but I am beginning to believe NOT!
Thanks
Mary
